The Philadelphia StoryPre-teen Featured in Philadelphia Story at Garland Civic Theatre

GARLAND, TEXAS – Emily Rose Lyons is making her stage debut in the Garland Civic Theatre's production of The Philadelphia Story. This aspiring actress, who celebrates her 12th birthday on Valentine's Day, appeared in the feature film She Gets What She Wants and has done modeling work for JC Penney, American Upholstery and Nordstrom. She has studied dance for nine years and piano for three. She lives in Richardson with her father, Tim; mother, Teresa; big sister, Holly; and dog, Nuzzle. A sixth-grader at Richardson Heights Elementary, Emily Rose got involved with the GCT when she attended a summer acting camp in 2005.

Dinah Lord, Emily's character in the play, doesn't think that her big sister, Tracy, should marry George Kittredge, but the wedding is planned for tomorrow afternoon. She takes matters into her own hands. She calls C. K. Dexter Haven, the man she knows her sister really loves. Then she seeks the advice of her Uncle Willie. Things get a little complicated with the appearance of a handsome reporter, Mike Connor, before it all works out just the way Dinah had it planned.

Also in the cast are Renee Krapff as Tracy Lord, Alice Montgomery as Margaret Lord, Daniel Jamieson as Alexander (Sandy) Lord, Ken Bethea as Thomas, Doug Fowler as William (Uncle Willie) Tracy, Marci Fermier as Elizabeth (Liz) Imbrie, Don Long as Macaulay (Mike) Connor, Larry LeMaster as George Kittredge, Corey McDaniel as C. K. Dexter Haven, and Reg Platt as Seth Lord.
